Loving Earth is a brand that I am so grateful to hit the shores of the food space because they are delicious! This healthy, sustainable and fair brand is vegan, gluten free, dairy free and cane sugar free.
What resonates me a lot is the ethos of their brand - aside from the delicious taste! Sustainability is one of their main principles, which is always evolving and developing innovative ways to help Mother Earth.
Currently, the wrapper that holds the divine dessert is compostable with renewable plant resources (which means with the right factors in can break down rather than be put Into landfill).
The boxes made from post consumer fibre with vegetable based inks rather than the chemical stuff. This means no new trees are cut down, and no toxic chemicals are seeping into our water supplies because of harmful dyes.
They even go to the effort of ensuring their suppliers are not utilising heavy metals such as Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Antimony, Arsenic and Selenium in the manufacturing of printing inks, which would potentially be harmful to worms. Any contaminated levels are well within food packaging limits.
The boxes that hold the contents, are printed with vegetable based inks on 100% post-consumer recycled fiber and are recyclable.
